Our
Support |
| When
we first thought of doing something for the children,
we were mentally prepared to do it all by ourselves.
But of course we had in our mind that wed definitely
urge our friends for support. Many did. And for those
who are not convinced we do not have ill feelings.
Before the thought of doing something for someone
other that our own friends and families came into
our mind we shared same feelings as they do now. And
just because now we do have such feelings as helping
others it is not necessary for them to have the same.
But we are hopeful that one day theyd be with
us as well. |
|
So we started with a thought
that wed do every thing by ourselves. Then we
started our work. We discussed what were going
to do. How it should be done. How much money were
going to need and how to manage it? We asked our friends
and family for suggestions. After giving serious thoughts
we reached a conclusion that of course wed do
everything possible form our side but at the same
time wed ask others for help as well. And now
we are glad we did that. We received an overwhelming
response from everyone. |
We should not forget
here to include our valued members who contribute
to our organization; not only financially but also
by giving genuine interest and priceless suggestions.
We strongly believe it is only because of them that
we are here today. We treasure them all. People from
different walk of life are with us. Currently the
number tolls as many as two hundred and is increasing
day by day. We have members who are just 15 and are
students. We also have members who are over 70 and
we have members who are working abroad. |
| Family and Friends

It
is a matter of great delight to all of us that our
families are supporting us. For the first few months
none of us told what we were doing to our family as
we feared they might protest. But hiding everything
from our family was impossible as we had to meet almost
every day and had to make long conversations over
the phone. So we decided to tell everything and prepared
ourselves to face whatever. But when we did tell them
about Helping Together we were surprised.
We were expecting their protest but they thanked us
for having started such a noble work. They appreciated
us and ensured us that they are with us too. |
| Apart from our own
organization there are scores of people and institutions
to whom we owe gratitude. We have beautiful memories
of heart toughing incidents. We would like to site a
small one over here. |

During our registration process we had to make
our stamp with our organizations logo. We
approached a person who was doing that business
since long. We gave him soft copies of our logo
and the next day our logo was ready. During that
short interaction we obviously did talk about our
organization and what it is suppose to do. We did
not ask but we got our logo for free. He helped
us the way he could.

Four students currently supported by HELPING TOGETHER
are studying in this school. The school has been supportive
from the very beginning. One of our children MILAN RAI,
a merit student has been provided with full scholarship
by the school. We found them very supportive while assessing
children progress and taking improvement measures. Also
they continuously come up with valuable suggestions and
guidance out of their long experience in the field of
education.
